The Lonely Drone is an AI-animated short film by filmmaker Chris Cardoza exploring consciousness, autonomy, and empathy in machines. A poetic meditation on what happens when technology learns to feel.

I’ve joined the Luma AI Creative Partner Program, and it feels like stepping into a new gym for the imagination. Creativity isn’t just a lightning bolt, it’s a muscle. It grows through repetition, through trial and error, through the awkward failures and the surprising breakthroughs.

Walking the fields alongside Farmer Chris over these years, I was consistently reminded that farming embodies life's beauty in its purest form. The symmetry of crops, the delicate balance of ecosystems, the buzzing of pollinators—each element told its own story. My role was simply to translate this visual poetry into emotional, authentic images and narratives.

I flew out to Los Angeles to embark on this new adventure with fellow photographer Keith Weiner and we both learned…and failed…and learned some more about the great photography past time of FILM. Here are some of my favorites from my first 2 rolls.

Recently my portrait of Silivene in Rwanda was selected to be a part of an exhibition in Switzerland at FIBA (International Basketball Federation) headquarters along with 39 other images for their annual photo contest.

My friends over at Shooting Touch delivered some portraits I shot a year ago in Rwanda to the women in the portraits. They sent me these images.

It is my pleasure with immense gratitude to announce that my short video following the women’s march in Kayonza, Rwanda alongside my good friends at the NGO, Shooting Touch, was selected as an International Motion Art Awards 7 Winner. This means the video will live in the American Photography - American Illustration Archive forever and be screened in New York City this coming November along side the other winners.

I am extremely excited to announce that my portrait of Silivene photographed in Rwanda was chosen as a winner of American Photography 35 and will be included in the American Photography Archive. It has been my mission to continue telling the stories of women in Rwanda using basketball to improve their lives along side Shooting Touch and I am so grateful that this image will live in the American Photography Archive forever.

This weekend I was invited out to my alma mater, the University of Massachusetts, to photograph their hockey team face off against Boston College. In front of a sold out crown and Bucci Mane himself, UMass scored the game winning goal with just 2 seconds left in the third period.

Boston nonprofit, Shooting Touch G3, held a basketball game between local girls on their AAU team and the female police officers of the Boston Police Department. The Massachusetts Attorney General, Maura Healey, joined the G3 girls who won on a buzzer beater by one basket.
