Nature Wrote the Story
At Siena Farms, Nature Wrote the Story—I Simply Captured It
Reflecting on my time at Siena Farms, I am reminded of my belief that nature is the ultimate designer. Every line, texture, and color it creates is unmatched. Embedding myself within the life of Siena Farms, owned by the thoughtful and dedicated Farmer Chris, reinforced this belief profoundly.
Over several years, my project there went beyond merely documenting farm life—it involved immersing myself deeply in the rhythms of planting, nurturing, and harvesting. Each morning began quietly, with the soft glow of sunrise illuminating rows of vibrant greens, blossoming sunflowers, and meticulously structured greenhouses.
Farmer Chris and his team cultivated more than just vegetables; they fostered meaningful connections between the earth and the community. The farm supplies fresh produce to some of Boston’s most beloved restaurants—places like Oleana, where the beauty and authenticity of these ingredients truly shine on every plate.
Walking the fields alongside Farmer Chris over these years, I was consistently reminded that farming embodies life's beauty in its purest form. The symmetry of crops, the delicate balance of ecosystems, the buzzing of pollinators—each element told its own story. My role was simply to translate this visual poetry into emotional, authentic images and narratives.
The imagery and storytelling I created for Siena Farms stand as a testament to my ongoing commitment to capturing genuine, heartfelt stories. Nature provided the art; I was fortunate enough to frame it, year after year.
