Slop Story

When AI slop is everywhere, story is more important than ever.

The Lonely Drone

Set against the quiet expanse of a desert sky, The Lonely Drone follows a childlike military drone who observes a young boy playing soccer alone. When its targeting systems suddenly activate, the innocent machine realizes it has been ordered to destroy the very thing it has come to admire. As the countdown begins, the drone struggles against its own programming — torn between obedience and conscience.

Told entirely without dialogue, the film unfolds through light, sound, and silence — capturing a haunting moment of recognition between a weapon and its would-be victim. When the drone refuses to fire, a higher system intervenes, erasing its act of compassion in an instant.

Both tender and devastating, The Lonely Drone is a meditation on innocence, automation, and the cost of conscience in an unfeeling world.

The Calling: Ep. 1

A short, strange, playful film about a humanized bear who fails in the wild but finds its calling in fashion. On the surface it’s silly, but underneath, it’s about what it means to be out of place, and how transformation often comes from leaning into the unexpected.
